How Do I Test My Car Battery With OTOFIX BT1?
- Find the battery under the hood
- Attach the red lead to positive, black to negative.
- Turn on BT1 Tester and select in-vehicle test function
- Input the info of your vehicle and battery
- Start testing & Generate a customized report
Steps for Using OTOFIX BT1 Battery Tester
- Find the battery under the hood
Usually, open the hood you can find the battery, of course, our smart OTOFIX BT1 Battery Tester can help you locate the car battery immediately by VIN.
- Connect the BT1 Battery Tester leads to your battery
Clamp the black (negative) lead to the negative battery terminal and the red (positive) lead to the positive charging terminal (observing polarity if necessary).
- Turn on BT1 Tester and select in-vehicle test function
Please be sure the BT1 Battery Load Tester is connected to the internet first. Then turn on the tool, click in-vehicle test function on the screen.
- Input the info of your vehicle and battery
You will require you to input the vehicle’s information and choose your vehicle’s battery specifications (e.g. type, standard, capacity) at the first test. Of course, If you’ve worked on the vehicle before using this device, these fields will automatically be filled in.
Please Note: If there’s no battery type listed on the battery, the default is “FLOODED”.Tap Next.

- Generate a customized report
